Top 10 WTF Grammy Moments (PHOTOS)

The 2010 Grammy Awards might stand out for their not really standing out, at least in terms of outrageous moments, this year’s edition was fairly tame. No streakers, screamers, or scoundrels. As to the latter, Kanye West didn’t even show up.
However, we still found our jaws dropping along the 3-1/2 hour journey at a number of WTF moments.  Some good, some, well, not so complimentary.
Take a look at the ten moments we selected; see if you agree, disagree, or if you have some moments of your own that didn’t make our list, but you will certainly not soon forget.

LIVE BLOG: 2010 GRAMMY AWARDS RED CARPET!

We’ve got all the fabness…and not so fab…on Sunday night’s Grammy Awards red carpet.  Check out the pics of all the YBF folks and speak on it…

Lots of pics when you read the rest…

Hands down our fave look of the night…Rihanna’s Elie Saab beaded top and open back long flowing pale pink (looks white in pics but is actually pale pink) gown.  The feathered detail and mock neck are hot.

And Rih pulls it off with simple strappy sandals and understated..yet glam…dewy makeup.

Beyonce, who raked in 6 Grammys,  rocked a long and uber fitted nude Stephane Rolland dress with embroidered decoration.  Didn’t love it…dress did nothing for her.  And no dress on a Grammy Award red carpet should be a zip front.  She also had some odd multi colored sparkly strands in her hair.

She should have worn her second dress as her red carpet dress.

Mandisa made an appearance in a bright pink dress.

Mary Mary picked up the award for Best Gospel Song for “God In Me.”

Loving Mary’s pink dress.  Understated but still sexy.

Lovely Dolce and Gabbana dress for Keri.  Something we’ve seen before on the red carpet rounds, but she pulls it off very nicely.  And topped it off with Neil Lane jewels.  Pretty.

Ashanti reached back a few years to pull this dress out.  Hair and makeup on point…but a diff choice of dress would have been better.

Johnny Boy Legend

Jennifer Hudson looked slim and trim on the carpet.  She said she’s been working out for an hour a day/every day.  And it definitely shows.  Looking fab Jenny.

Loved Toni Braton’s Armani dress.  Wrong shoes with it though.  Toni also announced she and her fam are getting their own reality show called “Braxton Family Values.”  Hmmm.  She won 2 awards sin the pre-telecast.

Head to toe Givenchy or not..me no likey CiCi.

Ciara is dipped in couture yet again.  She’s rocking head to toe Givenchy again.    And said she was trying to “cover her oohs and aahs” still.  Her jewelry is from Cartier.

Gayle King tried to tap into her 25 and under side.

Mya was spotted on the carpet with Usher.  She’s rocking a long silver slinky dress.

Black Eyed Peas rocked out the carpet.  They’ve already won 3 awards already in the pre-telecast.

And Melody Thornton looked sleek and chic in her two toned champagne and silver sparkling gown.

The Hip Hop fellas on tonight’s carpet:

Akon donned a Lady GaGa shirt…he says he’s her #1 fan since he’s the one who discovered her.  And T-Pain hit the carpet looking like he’s about to make a trip to the grocery store.

And Twista tried to clean up his image.  Kinda.

In non-YBF red carpet fabness, Lady GaGa looked  like a solar system arriving.  And we expect nothing less from her really.  Rumor has it Armani made this dress for her.

But Common brought the hotness as usual.

Who told Musiq to rock this plum and gold suit with matching gold shoes?  WHO I SAY?

And Neicy Nash was a sparkling chick in this champagne colored dress with a ruffled dark champagne bottom.  That damn flower…

YBF chick Melanie Fiona looks gorgeous at her first Grammy Awards tonight.  A one shoulder black drop waisted ball gown complete with black and silver edgy jewelry and minimal makeup.  Fab.

She’s nominated for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

Now that we’ve just been embarra**ed by the shuckin’ and jivin’ of General Larry Platt on the red carpet show, it’s time to check out who’s hitting tonight’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards:

Black sparkles and beads kicked off the carpet. Alfre Woodard showed up early in this long and strapless black gown. The top is a low cut side bow with sequins.  And India.Arie is sparkling in a long black basic dress as well.

Alfre’s hubby is her date.

I see India’s still keeping it simple.  She already one a pre-telecast award for Best Urban Alternative Performance.

Wino Loves The Boys And Girls!

wenn2650658wino.jpg

Hey, Blaaaaaaake isn’t the only one who can have all the fun!

After hearing rumors of her ex-husband (and now-fiance??) hooking up with a tranny Wino lookalike, friends close to Amy say the singer has her eye on the male and female species!

And has even admitted to having a crush on the X Factor’s Cheryl Cole!

Seksi!

Ames’ bisexuality comes as no surprise to her friends, who say there is “nothing restrained” about Wino’s sexuality.

Wino allegedly even told her pals:

So what? I like girls as well. I have had relationships with other women but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love Blake. There is something about being with a woman that is very satisfying. I don’t care what people think about me being bi – I do what feels good.

Hedonism at its finest!

Blast Grammy wrap-up

It’s official – Taylor Swift is the biggest award winner of the music trophy season. Her mantel will now hold the Grammy for Album of the Year, beating out Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band and The Black Eyed Peas. As usual though, awards were not the focal point of the show. It was the performances that made the night at the Grammys. Some had a better time than others (though the big winner, performance-wise tonight was a miss for Taylor Swift). Also, a note to L’il Wayne, Eminem and Drake – if you are going to need a bleep out of your lyrics for more than three consecutive seconds, it might behoove you to consider a temporary re-write for those at home.

It has to be said that when recognizing a man who has been contributing to the music industry for the better part of four decades, the Grammys’ tribute to Michael Jackson was a bit of a let down. First, the vast majority of the audience at home were lacking in 3D gla**es necessary to make out the performance – whether unaware that an extra purchase was necessary or not willing to part with the cash, non-gla**es wearing viewers were treated to a performance of blurry red and blue images. To be honest, the 3D stunt seemed like a way to make an extra few bucks rather than paying tribute to Michael Jackson. It also seemed strange that “Earth Song” was picked as the tribute song rather than a medley of the King of Pop’s hits, especially with the wealth of musicians participating in the tribute. This is all without touching how painful it was to see his children put up on stage to accept Jackson’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Considering how hard he worked to keep them out of sight of cameras, the whole charade came off forced and insensitive.

Bon Jovi followed the tribute with another Grammy first – a viewer selected song. Fans and viewers alike have been voting before and during the show for what song Bon Jovi will perform on stage. The band opened with their newest single “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” and then halfway through the performance, the winning song, “Living on a Prayer” was announced and Bon Jovi slipped into their biggest hit – though disappointingly for only a single verse and chorus.

The Grammys also memorialized Les Paul with a lackluster performance. Legendary Jeff Beck ruled the strings of Les Paul’s most generous gift to music – the hard bodies electric guitar. It was disheartening to see the vocal performance so clearly lip-synched though. If the guitar as well was mimicked, it was harder to pick up. One can only help they kept that legitimate.

The Dave Matthews Band and Maxwell also gave noteworthy performances. Even if she didn’t win any awards during the televised broadcast, Blast votes Lady Gaga as the most solid performances of the evening, kicking off the awards with Sir Elton John.

What was your favorite performance of the night? Least favorite?

If you missed any of tonight’s performances, they will be available for purchase on iTunes tomorrow. Or you can check out the photos below for some of tonight’s highlights.

Uhhhh….Ci-Error is Still Allowing Givenchy to Make Her Look Like…

Ciara made it to the Grammy’s red carpet with her Givenchy couture steez turned up.  We don’t know what’s been up with CiCi, but ever since she hit that Givenchy party last week she’s been looking wack as hell.

A couple more pics of Ci-Error under the hood.
